There are 23,187 Starbucks in 64 different countries around the world.
My father has been to probably 50 of them. Out of all the Starbucks his coffee addiction has led him to, he swears that the small location right off the highway in Kerrville, TX is his favorite.
They, of course, sell the same coffee and offer the same menu, but the thing that separates this one from the 23,186 others is the view.
You melt away on a massive patio with the Guadalupe River in front of you and a Texas Hill Country backdrop not too far past that.
Tonight I came to Starbucks to try and blog.
When I picture a blogger, I see big chunky reading glasses with a latte in hand pouring wisdom into her keyboard at her favorite coffee shop. I don’t have a favorite coffee shop, so I figured the infamous Kerrville Starbucks would do.
I’ve been sitting here for an hour and a half staring at my computer screen.
So far I’ve googled “inspirational quotes”, “how to say cute & fun in spanish”, and “how do sea turtles sleep”.
I don’t wear glasses, I order ice water at coffee shops, and so far I’ve only had random google searches to pour into my keyboard. I can’t write incredibly deep and inspirational blog posts because that’s not me. God didn’t make me the typical blogger, so I’m going to go ahead and stop trying to force myself to write like one.
God made me quirky and eager to laugh. He shows Himself to me in the funny coincidences, and embarrassing but humorous mishaps. I see God and find life in the humor of my day. I show my love through trying to make others laugh.
I can’t wait to share the next year and a half’s laughs with you. I’m ecstatic for the experiences, and I know at some point I will even have some wisdom to share.
I’m sure I’ll do plenty more blogging, in plenty more Starbucks, in plenty more countries, with plenty more wisdom and I’ll be plenty more inspirational, but for now I’m in this one with my limited google searched inspirational wisdom.
So I’ll leave you with this:
How to say cute and fun in spanish?
lindo y divertido
How do sea turtles sleep?
They can sleep on the surface, or on the bottom wedged under rocks.
Oh and last but certainly not least,
“Life is too deep for words, so don’t try to describe it, just live it.”-C.S. Lewis
