Being haunted by God… I wasn’t quite sure what I thought about this when I first read it. I came upon it while reading “My Utmost For His Highest” by Oswald Chambers. (Great book by the way)
“The whole of our life inside and out is to be absolutely haunted by the presence of God”
Our lives should be so consumed with Christ, we should be abiding in him so much and so fully that he should haunt our every thought. We shouldn’t just think about God, we should be consumed by Him.
“If we are haunted by God, nothing else can get in, no cares, no tribulation, no anxieties. We see now why Our Lord so emphasized the sin of worry. How can we dare be so utterly unbelieving when God is round about us?”
If we abide in God, He gives us peace! Whhha! That is such an amazing thought, The Lord is so faithful not to leave us hanging.
In Psalm 46:1-2 it says “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.”
God is our refuge, our help, our shelter, our light.
All of this really got my thinking about the up coming trip. All of the challenges being faced now, and those that are coming… But… IT DOESN’T MATTER! God has a plan, and he will provide in his timing, give peace, and be my shelter while waiting.
Praise God! For he is worthy of all!
