For the past year, the most common question I have been asked is “What are you going to do now that you’ve graduated college?” And for most of that time, I have dreaded being asked that and have even avoided answering it. I have dreaded this question because I just was not sure, and not being sure can be frustrating and scary. For the past year, I have also prayed a lot. I have prayed for direction and spent a lot of time spinning my wheels and wondering what was next. Well, I am overjoyed to announce to you that the Lord has given me direction and I have decided to step out in that direction. Starting the first week in January, I will be leaving the comforts of my home to do a mission trip called the World Race.

The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 countries around the world. The World Race combines missions with intensive discipleship designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. As you may suspect I am slightly terrified, but I am also extremely joyful and beyond thankful that these are the next steps in my spiritual walk with the Lord. Missions have been a passion of mine from a very young age when the Lord put them on my heart. I have no doubt that the Lord is sending me on this journey and that He will provide, but one of the many challenges I will face over the next year is raising financial support. Like most mission organizations, World Race participants are required to raise financial support. In order to leave fully funded in January, I need to raise $16,617. As I step out in faith, trusting that the Lord will provide this financial support, I ask that you would prayerfully consider joining me by financially supporting me. Will you consider making a one-time or a monthly donation? There are a few different ways that you can make a donation.

You can visit my blog emmaflaming.theworldrace.org, click donate, fill out your information, and immediately make a secure online donation. You will have the option of donating one time or choosing to support me monthly until my financial goal is met. If you would rather, you can mail a check to Adventures in Missions. Included in your letter is a fundraising card. If you mail a check to AIM, include this fundraising card with your check to ensure your donation is applied to my account.  (Adventures In Missions is a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3) and is a member of the ECFA. (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Due to IRS and ECFA regulations governing the administration of tax deductible donations given in support of a particular trip/program, support contributions given on behalf of an individual will be used to offset the costs of the trip/program you are involved in. All contributions are non-refundable regardless of the participant’s success in completing the program.)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter, I hope that you will choose to support me on this journey whether it is financially or prayerfully.

xoxo, Ems
