Recently my squad and I left Africa. We are now in Europe. We spent 1 month in Cote d’Ivoire and 2 months in Ghana during our time in West Africa. Due to some security issues, we were not able to go to Burkina Faso as originally planned. During our time in Ghana, we separated from all-squad month into our teams and we went into what is called ATL. ATL stands for “Ask the Lord”. It was a time where we had no assigned ministry, we went out and “asked the Lord” where we should go. It’s a really cool experience. We spent time praying and asking for direction and divine encounters. Almost as soon as we stepped off of our bus a few hours away from our all-squad time, my team and another came into contact with a local pastor. He had plenty of ministry for us, so we took off to his town, called Yendi, to work wherever he needed us. We ended up helping with construction on a school, rearranging a school library, grading papers, and evangelizing. After a week of that, we had the opportunity to go live in a local village and spend time evangelizing and leading a bible study. Below are pictures of some of the people we came into contact with in that village. The village was called Bom-Bom and the people were very sweet and welcoming. They are a split village, half are Muslim and the other half are Christian. There is no conflict between them though. We found that both sides are pretty lukewarm in their faith and don’t really understand the differences between the two religions. They believe it is all the same. Which we were able to speak into.

Living in a village was an experience I will not forget. Here are some of the unforgettable faces I came across during those 5 days. If you would like to, take some time and pray over each of these people and the village that they live in. They need a community of solid believers and a church of those people to be established so that they can grow and know more about the Lord.
