Hey friends and supporters,
It probably would’ve been a good idea to write this blog last week when I sent out my support letters, but this week just seems to have worked out better. We can also add in the fact that I GENUINELY hate talking about/asking for money as part of the delay, but I realize that some stuff needs to be explained further.
With that being said, I’m writing this as a bit of a follow up to the support letters to give you more of an understanding about ways to give and where your donations are going.
DynaPay
So, I know some of you want to give monthly. DynaPay (Free EFT transfer from your bank account monthly) is honestly the best way to ensure that every cent you donate makes it to my support account. The online donation through the “Support Me” tab takes processing fees out of my account, but if that is the most convenient thing for you, I totally understand. You can go to DynaPay HERE and it should look similar to this (minus the information I filled in):

Please make sure to put my name as the person you want to support and scroll to the program/department option for “The World Race” as seen below. (Please and Thank you).

Deadlines
For any of you that are curious I do NOT have to have the full $15,500 raised before launch in January. Yes, it would be amazing if I did, but I know it’s part of the faith building process.
Deadline 1: $3,500 by October 1, 2012 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
Deadline 2: $6,500 by December 16, 2012 (2 weeks before Launch)
Deadline 3: $11,000 by April 1, 2013 (End of Month 3 on the Field)
Deadline 4: $15,500 (Fully Funded) by July 1, 2013
Threads of Hope
One of the other ways I’m raising support for this trip is by selling friendship bracelets from the organization “Threads of Hope”. The bracelets are $2 each and come in a lot of colors/patterns.

I chose this organization when I began fundraising because I didn’t want to do something that only benefitted me. I love this organization because $1 from each bracelet sold goes back to the people who have made them. At risk families in the Philippines are able to support themselves and their families financially in ways that were not possible before. Education, medical care and food are now feasible options for people who would not have had the opportunity before, and it also helps to protect children from being trafficked. If you want more info, their website is super informative.
If you’d like to support me this way, please contact me with your color preferences and mailing address. I’ll either give you an address to mail a check to, or I may set up a paypal account.
Where Your Donations Go:
I've seen this on several other blogs (and copied it on here):

As a World Racer, the $15,500 is broken down by these categories…
- Training Camp–$320
- Field Support–$620
- WR Development Program–$1,860
- Administration Fees–$2,635
- World Racer–$10,075

My budget is broken down into these categories…
- Intercontinental Travel–$4,235.00
- Food–$1,256.25
- Lodging–$1,758.75
- Transportation–$1,005.00
- Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies–$1,115.55
In a Nutshell
Any way you can help support me financially is HUGE. I hope this has helped clear up some questions, but if you want more clarification, please send me a message! I’ll be making a static homepage soon with some of this info on it, and updates on support.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I should hopefully have another real blog posted after this weekend.
Love you all,
Emma
