Throughout life, you find yourself in different groups. A group may be family members, the student body of your school, a group of classmates that help each other in class, a church small group, a sports team, a small group of friends, a church youth group, a mock trial team, the scooter squad at camp, your graduating class, your Spanish class, your in-group at college, your school musical watching squad, or even the group of random people that you will be traveling with for 9 months. In these groups it can be hard to find your place. You may struggle to be good enough or to keep up with the group. You may find it hard to fit in with the group. You might not have
There is one group that we never have to struggle to maintain our status. That group is God’s children. We are all his children and he loves us unconditionally. He’s always waiting for us to come back to him. He isn’t holding a grudge or disowning us. We all have a place in God’s kingdom. A place with our name on it. A place that we don’t have to compete with each other in order to reach.
Don’t lose yourself trying to maintain your status in your groups here on earth, instead focus on God and he will take care of the rest as he guides you through life.
