I already did a team introduction blog. But, that was before launch. That was before I actually lived with my team. That was before I KNEW my team. I am not saying that I know everything about my team, but I know them better now. So, allow me to reintroduce my team to you.
This is team Anthem.

Lise.
Lise is passionate about women and empowering women. Lise reminds us every day that as daughters of God we are loved beyond measure. She reminds us that as women of Christ we are powerful and our words carry weight.

Megan.
Megan is passionate about people. She strives to make sure that everyone knows they’re loved and welcome in the space. Megan shows us everyday what a child-like faith looks like in action. Megan shares what God is sharing with her. Megan freely gives because she has freely received.

Nikki.
Nikki is passionate about community. Nikki shows us what strength in vulnerability looks like. Nikki will walk with you through big decisions. Nikki shows us what it means to be rooted in Christ. Nikki shows us what it looks like to SHOW others that you love them.

Angelica.
Gel is passionate about people owning their identity. Gel makes sure that people know what it looks like to walk out their identity. Gel pours out her wisdom onto us. Gel is bold; she says what needs to be said and asks what need to be asked.

Jenay.
Jenay is passionate about people’s freedom. Jenay ensures you have a safe space to open up. Jenay makes sure your voice is heard. Jenay does whatever it takes to make sure you are able to be who you truly are.

Maddie.
Maddie is passionate about authenticity. Maddie finds fun and a good time with Christ. Maddie helps others in ways that most people wouldn’t think about.
Our team is not similar. We all have very different personalities. We all have different passions. One of the best parts of Anthem is having someone whose strength is your weakness. Not good at talking to people? You have a teammate that is great at it and will help you. Can’t speak the language? You have a teammate that is great at it and will help you. Not really sure what to do at kids ministry? You have a teammate that is great at it and will help you. Our team is the one you find all on one bed watching a movie together. We are a team that chooses to love the community we live in after our long ministry days. We are a team that learns to overcome life obstacles by reminding each other who we are and whose we are. We are a team that leaves insecurity at the door. We are a team that’s always down for cookie dough, a dance party, or mug cake. We are a team that has a very specific room christening routine that we have done for every room/apartment we have lived in since the beginning (sweep the floor, mop if needed, and pray over the room and our time there).

These ladies are my sisters. One thing I have learned on the race is what it means to be a sister and what it looks like to be a good sister. My team doesn’t let our diversity tear us apart, we use our diversity to cover each other so we don’t fall.
Welcome to the Sisterhood of Anthem.
