In my blog on Luke 5:16 I spoke about having your own place with the Lord. Somewhere you could go and just rest with Him anytime. Ive heard that teaching before and always kinda sorta had a place. You know when the leader says close your eyes and picture yourself…yadda yadda. Well since I’ve been on the race that place has changed and grown =)

We had a women’s session in Nepal where my place with the Lord first began to grow. As I sat there imagining my meadow I thought, hmm I think it would be beautiful here if I had a waterfall, and suddenly there it was! I had a beautiful waterfall flowing into a glorious swimming pond below. I realized I wanted to, decorate in a way. I wanted to make this place ours. Not just somewhere I would randomly imagine but truly Our place =) and i did…

My meadow started as just a meadow. Beautiful and almost enchanted. Now I have a waterfall flowing and a path the leads to the beach. Our Cove was born! Its a beautiful cove, thats sits between two mountains. My meadow grows wild lilly’s and FrangiPangi’s all around and off to the far right sits a fluffy white couch. The waterfall is cool and tastes clean and crisp with white soft sand on the bottom. There is an opening in the trees of my meadow beside the waterfall which leads to the beach. A perfect beach, with crystal waters.

Jordan, my teammate, also had us go to a place one day during an exercise on hearing the Lord. He asked us various questions one of which was what we were wearing and if Jesus was there what was he wearing. I wear a long flowing white grecian dress with a gold belt with filigree. Sometimes I have a gold headband =) Now before Jordan asked this questions Jesus wore White Robes, but when I was about to say that, I suddenly saw Him in white board shorts and a white tee with his hair in a pony hahahah! I said what Jesus you don’t wanna wear robes and he said NO! He walked with me on the beach and held my hand. His eyes spoke of love and compassion so deep my head swam. We danced in the meadow and He told me how special I am to Him and how much He loves me. Again His eyes, if only I could explain His eyes =)

Having a place thats all your own allows you to simply rest with the Lord. He can show you His character there! I could continue telling stories of how our time has been spent and what He shows me in our Cove. I write this to encourage you to have your own place. Anywhere you want. However you want! Ask Jesus, He knows you pretty well, and have Him take you somewhere if you just aren’t sure. Its a getaway when days are hard, and its a paradise when they are good =)
