One of my favorite movies is “Eat Pray Love”. I feel like one thing that the main charater says that always sticks with me is “I want to be unnerved by something”. When looking in the thesaurus for synonyms for unnerved many words with a negative connotation popped up. Such as bewilder, spook, frightened, unsettled, discombobulated. Honestly, these words excite me. I see nothing but BE WILDER from the word bewilder. This blog is dedicated to being a source of inspiration and hope to people stuck in the ruts and mundane routines of life. I have been an extremely curious girl stuck in a ordinary world and now I crave a life of abundance. (John 10:10 I come so that they might have life and have it more abundantly). I am over being afraid of being afraid. I say bring it on world. I am taking the plunge into the World Race and the untraveled path towards the unknown. I am excited to be able to blog about my journey and take all of you with me.

Now, I know some of you are saying “What is this journey?” or “What is the WorldRace?” The WorldRace is an 11 month missions trip where I will be traveling to 11 different countries helping the hurting and spreading love. I won’t be going on this trip just for the thrills of seeing the world. Of course I will be seeing some very amazing parts of the world but I will also be seeing a majority of the hurting parts. The parts that most of us try to ignore or push out of our minds because it is too hard to think of. I am ready to be UNNERVED by the broken parts of the world. As a privileged American I think that my very small world is hard or difficult. I think that I have to deal with everyday is a burden. When in reality what I have to “deal” with is a breeze compared to what the people of these countries go through everyday. I will see people who have absolutely NOTHING and still choose to be joyful. I am ready to pack a backpack full of only the things I will need for a whole year and find the joy of the Lord in having NOTHING (in my eyes) while at the same time having more than some of these people ever will. I want to learn from this trip how to truely find joy even when there may be none, learn more about myself, radiate love, And help the hurting.

Here are the 11 countries:
Mozambique

Swaziland

Madagascar

Mongolia

Costa Rica

Nicaragua

El Salvador

China

Myanmar(Burma)

India

Nepal
