I knew from the first moment I walked across the border that this was going to be a good month for my Squat-A-Blog. I was right.

This was the very first squattie I had the pleasure of using in Myanmar. We had just crossed the border and a church was nice enough to let us crash in there “tree house” for a few hours before we had to be on our next bus. God bless that church.

(The inside)

This was a squattie at one of the bus stops. It felt like peeing in a dungeon because it was dark and full of spider webs.

This was the only private shower I got all month. AND HOT WATER.

ALSO, this is probably the only western toilet in all of Myanmar. It just so happens to be located in a guest house in Hakha called ‘Junction Gusthouse’. Yes— That wasn’t a typo on my part. It was called GUSThouse.

The MAIN BOO THANG. I had the pleasure of using this baby every day. She was there for me 24/7.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST. The community shower. At one point there were slugs everywhere and tadpoles living in the water but who cares! Honestly, I miss this shower sometimes. I have so many good memories of this shower. I really bonded all of us that lived together that month.

Thanks for reading and following along!

XOXO,
