If you are on the WorldRace and hear the words “We have some news”—- RUN. Just kidding. But really, get prepared.
I have learned many things on the WorldRace but most of all I have learn to go with the flow. You really have to be flexible and trust-trust-TRUST.
Late last week we got the news that our route was changing. Not only am I not going to China anymore but I will also no longer be going to Mongolia. I have been looking forward to sleeping in a Yurt and seeing the Great Wall since the very beginning. I had to mourn the loss of these two countries for a hot second, pull up my big girl panties, and then go with the flow.
As sad as I am about losing both of these countries I am also excited to announce that I will be spending three weeks in Malaysia, three weeks in Indonesia, and three weeks in Thailand before getting back on schedule with Myanmar then India, Nepal, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and finishing in November with El Salvador.
Also, my squad is the first to be split between two countries in one month. (Go figure. Emily being apart of something different.) We got to choose as a team if we wanted to go to Sri Lanka or Indonesia to make up for our lost countries. We prayed on it and decided as a team to choose Indonesia. While my team and two others are in Indonesia, the other four teams will be in Sri Lanka.
There is no doubt in my mind that everything happens for a reason. See you someday in the future China and Mongolia! And see you in four-ish weeks Indonesia! I can’t believe how fast these first three months of the race are going!
Thanks to those of you reading for going on this journey with me!
Xoxo,
Emily
