It’s hour 16 of what is 17 hours worth of plane rides. The map in front of me shows that the ocean is closing in and the plane is about to reach India.

I’ve been imagining this moment for a long time now. That moment when it’s supposed to hit me. The “hey I left America for nine months and here I am, serving God across the other side of the world” sort of moment. I imagined nerves like no other, excitement filling my bones, and everything in between. The thing is though, I feel nothing but peace. I am beyond ready for this season of life to begin. So here I am, confident in whatever the Lord might have in store.

I don’t have a lot to say past that. Words seem inadequate at this point. I have no clue what to expect in my day to day life other that that it will be spent in ministry and living in community. I know God has filled my heart with everything I need to embrace these next nine months. So from 31,000 feet in the air, I am expectant of all the Lord is going to do. Whatever that might be.

Please continue to pray for my squad and I as we begin our time in India. Pray that homesickness doesn’t get the best of us and that we are able to give our hearts completely to those we’ll meet. Pray that we are put to use and able to serve the Lord in all ways possible. This is a crazy time full of so many new things!

We find out everything about this months ministry within the next day or so. Until then, we are going through cultural training and getting accustomed to everything around us. I will be posting on a weekly basis from now on so I will be keeping y’all updated 🙂

Lastly, thank you for everything. As of a week ago I am 100% funded!! That is something I can hardly comprehend because it’s so wild. I literally could not be here without each of you. Whether it be through your financial support, uplifting words, keeping up with my blog and social media, or simply believing in me – you are the reason I am here. You are a vital part in spreading God’s beautiful love and hope across the world and I could not be more grateful for that. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I will continue to say this because I owe all of you so much.

Here’s to the next nine months. I am ready and at peace because I know great things will happen.

Sidenote- I wrote this blog two days ago and a lot has happened since then but I can’t wait to share more about my experience and everything that is happening around me. Unfortunately, wifi is not the easiest thing to find. Updates are to come!
