once upon a time there was a squad of worldracers staying at this beautiful place in the Dominican Republic called, Hope Mountain. during the duration of their stay lots of stairs/pathways were being created and reconstructed. the squad took notice to this blank patch of rocks which soon turned into some very rough and rocky stairs then days later the rocky stairs were made perfect!!!! SO SO SO visually pleasing that every single person who walked by these new stairs stoped and starred, often commenting on how perfect and beautiful these newly laid concrete stairs were. literally all the talk on the campus was over how perfectly beautiful these stairs were.
seeing how much people valued this specific set of stairs made me question why its so easy for us to see beauty in a man-made object but rarely value the beauty and perfection God created.
it can become too easy to become careless about how we treat others and the world we are in. in our society its become a norm to judge people on the outward beauty you value or so easy to drive down the same streets and not see beauty in the world around you. but God created us to be so much more than an outward appearance and the world to be so much more than just a place to live. we were created in the image and likeness of God making each of us perfect and in his image. He created this world to get to know Him.
there is more natural beauty in this world than man made objects and societies definition of beauty could ever achieve. theres more to life than perfectly laid concrete stairs.
appreciate others, find beauty in the small things, and see the world.
