Yay!
With being in a new country and jumping into a new routine I thought it would be nice to fill everyone back home in on what I’m doing during my day to day life here!
The first few days here we spent our mornings in a school down the street tutoring in reading…. We thought we would tutor English but much to our surprise we got to tutor Tagalog! So interesting and so fun.
The first few afternoons we spent painting the preschool at the church we stay at.
To finish out our first week we held a camp for street boys. That was so fun. We had worship, prayer, movies, a day at the river, and more movies. Just time to show them the love of Christ and give them a few meals and nights spent under a roof with friends!
This week we have spent the mornings doing manual labor at a church down the street and the afternoons painting the church we are staying at.
That’s just a very simple glimpse of what my few days here have looked like. Oh also, I’ve been crocheting a blanket in allllll my free time. Hopefully it’s done before I get home in a couple months!!
