Hey guys! So I actually planned to write a totallyyy different blog post but God was pulling on my heart to share this with you all! So here ya go hehe (: It begins with this: It rains hard in Atlanta!! We have been taking cold bucket showers the last few days but today my shower was done by rain! Whoop whoop!! My squad ran around and danced in the rain as I did in my childhood years, except the unique part about this adulthood dancing in the rain was it also involved busting out some worship songs! I’ll never forget that pouring rain, hands raised, nothing but smiles and shouts to our father! But, here’s the downfall to this storm… I‘m currently sleeping in a lifesaver named Alex‘s tent while he sleeps in his hammock because my girl Destiny and I were sharing a tent and the rain somehow flooded all our stuff in the storm! How blessed we were to have our whole squad doing all they could to help get our camp stuff ringed out, and hey I still have a nice place to sleep. So good.
This day was full of praising Jesus in the storm, literally. I challenge anyone reading this to pause for a second and ask yourself this question: Do you embrace the storms in your life? Often times I try and hide under the hood of my raincoat and try not to step in puddles. But why not embrace the storm raging around us? I personally forget how big and mighty our glorious father is sometimes! So here’s a quick reminder that I’d love for you to grab onto during the current storm you’re walking through in your life: God is present in your life and I promise you that. Put your stronghold in his foundation and he will meet you where you are now!! You are cherished by your father even in the brokenness of a raging storm, never forget that. And also don’t forget to rejoice and dance in the rain every once in a while. It’s felt good focusing on that this week, and I’d LOVE for you to take on that challenge with me! Boy do I know more than ever that God will never give us a storm we can’t handle. What a beautiful thing.
