Today is our last day in UB for the next two weeks! Tomorrow we head to Murun & will prepare to start trekking horseback to the Tsaatan community of reindeer herders in Northern Mongolia.
I have known about the Tsaatan tribe that we are visiting for several years & have always dreamed about taking trips to Mongolia to see the wild, untouched land & experience culture of people who still live here. When I saw that Mongolia was on my World Race route, I secretly hoped that we might be able to take some time to trek! So here I am, the day before I begin this grand adventure & I can hardly believe that my dream is coming true! To take a small group of people with me under these circumstances feels almost too good to be true. So, heads up! I will be out of range for the next two weeks, so you won’t hear from me until we return to the city!
