So far I’ve made it to Doha, Qatar and sitting at the airport awaiting our Nairboi bound flight in a few hours.
Launch was so great and ended on a fantastic note. I am so FILLED with the spirit and ready to reach out to the nations in the name of Jesus!! We stayed at the Virginia Theological Seminary , who were amazingly gracious with their facilities. I was able to mail home some stuff to make my pack weigh 42 pounds, instead of the 50 or so that is was! Also, the front desk lady, Diane, was SO amazingly kind about me trying to get my debit card in the mail.
We are riding on Air Qatar to Kenya and since I had never heard of Qatar before we rode the plane, I thought we were riding Air Guitar, which really made no sense, but sounded like a really fun ride! The ride was AMAZING, the most amazing plane ride I have ever been on. I was totally expecting to ride on a cheap airline with no ammenities or anything. We did ride the economy line, but we had two amazingly full meals, Ben and Jerrys ice cream, aromatherapy eye masks, hot towels handed out throughout the flight, candy, soft socks, ear plugs, blankets, pillows, a movie screen for each chair with hundreds of movies, TV shows, games, songs, etc. …man oh man. The stewardesses were so nice and it was just great. I watched Kung Fu Panda and Water for Elephants and fell asleep to the new Arcade Fire album on repeat.
Now we are just waiting at the airtport for a few more hours and just ate an awesome local rice dish for free and trying to figure out how to do the HTML code to post pictures and the like on this through my iPad… eesh. This is our second red-eye in one day, weird.
Hope you all are having a great day, it is 9pm here and 2pm where you are (in Michigan, at least). Love you all! Thank you so much for your prayers and please ask the Lord for safety as we finish this leg of travel, explore Nairobi for a day and travel to our ministry contacts!
