I know I haven’t been the best at blogging this trip… so I decided to steal people video’s they’ve made throughout this month to show you a bit of what we have been doing, where we have been living and the like!
1. As you know, we were rerouted to the Philippines after the flooding in Thailand became too dangerous. We ended up having a 24 hour layover in the Bangkok airport because of this and a few of us decided to stay up the entire night. Here is a video on what we did during those hours.
2. This is another video from Sarah Ball (www.sarahball.theworldrace.org) about some of our ministry here and what we have been able to do since we’ve gotten here.
3. The last Sarah Ball video is about our Thanksgiving feast! One of the girls who is here for 2 years, Cindi Williams, an AMAZING woman of God, invited us all over to her apartment for Thanksgiving! It was such a blessing 🙂 We were all missing home so much and it was great to have a ‘normal’ evening, getting dressed up, eating an amazing and traditional Thanksgiving feast, listening to Christmas music, playing games and just having so much fun!
4. We also were able to put on a Christmas party for the street kids, thanks to Melissa Diehl’s hard work. She felt called to do this and asked her friends/family for donations. She was expecting around $100, but ended up with $300! We were able to get food the hundreds of kids that showed up (probably all they ate that day), provide a washing and teeth brushing station, games with prizes, a prince/princess station where the kids could feel like royalty and learn about the armor of God! There was a magician, a singer and a man who shared the gospel. It was a fantastic night, one of my favorites on the race so far!
