Hey everyone so, I have officially completed my first week of ministry in Cambodia. It has been hard, hot, tiring and yet so fulfilling! We are in a small country town of Kampong Chhnang. We are staying with a missionary family from the organization Teen Missions International. They live on a compound that houses a missionary training camp in the summer for people from the nearby countries to come and learn. They specialize in motorcycle evangelism, where they ride bikes into remote villages and conduct bible studies. We are staying on the compound during its off season helping them keep up their land.

Our team is repairing and rebuilding the fence that surrounds the property and digging up and cultivating a large portion of the land so they can plant more crops. In addition to this I am in charge of cooking for our whole team over a wood fire stove. I go to the local market three times a week, chop wood, make my fire, prep and cook each meal. (Thankfully with some help from a couple of my teammates) Because it is so hot in the middle of the day, we stop working and try to “rest”.(it’s so hot and humid, it’s hard to do) To say it’s a long day is an understatement.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we have to pump our own water and filter it and use the woods as our personal restroom. And did I mention that our neighbor is a huge Pig farm, and every late afternoon they hose out their cages onto our land. (The smell is delightful)! …… And every couple of days they slaughter a whole bunch of pigs and you can hear their horrible squealing! ??

Even though the conditions have been intense, the days have been so rewarding! Please continue to pray for my team. dani is continuing to heal from her surgery, Danielle also still healing her bruised tail bone and I have unfortunately re-sprained my ankle today falling off a rice paddy! We can use all the prayers we can get! I love and miss you all!!!!
