Something that God is Teaching Me

Matthew 21:22 – “If you believe, you will
receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

God is teaching me to BELIEVE.  At launch training camp which was the first
week I was in NZ we were having worship and I prayed that God would either
speak to me or speak through someone else to me because I felt like other
people were hearing him but I wasn’t.  Anyway,
my squad leader Tara was the one that came to me with a word from God.  She told me to BELIEVE in myself because I
have God behind me and I just need to BELIEVE.
At this point I had never talked to Tara
before for more than 2 seconds.  She just
knew my name, and some of the stuff that she told me I know without a doubt had
to be from God.  I just sat there and
cried because I was thinking of all the times where I didn’t believe in myself
and I didn’t have a lot of confidence in myself.  Even if I looked like I did on the outside,
on the inside I was a scared little girl who didn’t like who she was.  SO, I am currently working on believing in
who I am as a person and knowing that God is in me and with Him nothing is
impossible. I am learning the TRUTH about who I am and finding my IDENTITY in
CHRIST.  (Shifting my thinking from head
knowledge to heart knowledge).

I wanted something that
would be a great reminder of what God is doing and to remind myself that God is
always with me I just have to BELIEVE.  In
New Zealand
I got the word tattooed on my wrist.  I
can’t count on my fingers or toes the number of times that I have looked down
and saw that word and instantly had confidence in myself and my abilities.  I feel like the father in Mark 9:24 – “I do
believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

And so I go forth in
confidence knowing that I can do all things through Christ who gives me
strength and believing what Jesus says in Mark 16:17-18 – “And these signs will
accompany those who BELIEVE; In my name they will drive out demons; they will
speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they
drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands
on sick people, and they will get well.”
