I’m Emily Werness and month 7 on the World Race has come and gone. Time is flying by and I feel like I have whiplash from trying to keep up and process all that is happening! But, below is a look at how much I LOVED Montenegro and our family.
In other news, we are in Tirana, Albania at debrief with our whole squad, our coaches, squad mentor, and alumni squad leaders! It is a beautiful city and we have already found an awesome coffee shop and a theater to see Insurgent. We will find out our new teams at the end of this week, so be praying for openness and honesty from the get go – we don’t have any time to waste dancing around being real and vulnerable. We will also find out our ministries at that time!
Also, next month on our way to Honduras we have a long layover in New York! Enough time to leave the airport and explore for a bit. I have never been, so I am excited, but also a bit weirded out…back on American soil…really weird. I will get cheez-its. That’s really what I want from America.
I think that is all I know for now…OH and in case you didn’t hear, all of the money I was trying to raise for a flight home and for Project Searchlight is IN. To God be the glory for the hearts he moved to give!! Thank you so much all of you who have donated to help getting me on this Race and now getting me home. My heart doesn’t know how to express my gratitude. All of your prayers are much needed and appreciated!! I love you all so much!
I’m Emily Werness and when did month 8 get here?!
