I’m Chosen and Justified and I am so thankful for my month 11 here in Horquetas with 6:8 Ministries and my team, En Fuego. We went hard for two straight weeks and had a lot of crazy laughs in between. It was surreal yesterday as we were putting away all the tools and Ash spoke it out loud, “That was our last day of ministry on the World Race.”
I haven’t really felt it yet – that we are done and leaving today for a few days of relaxation and then final debrief. A week from tomorrow my squad will fly back to the States and land on American soil…I am wrestling with celebrating these past 11 months with my squad, grieving the fact that we won’t be together anymore because this season is coming to a close and being amped for what God has waiting for me back in the States.
Prayers for the upcoming days as we close out this time and begin to process and reflect, and for the transition back! It’s not going to be easy, but with anything in this life, we take it day by day. I will take it day by day.
I apologize if I slip away to my hammock for hours to be alone or if I struggle with word vomit when I first get back – I ask for patience and understanding. On the flip side of that, I ask God for humbleness and openness for my own heart upon coming back.
I love all of you so much. Enjoy this glimpse into the final month of my race.
I’m Worthy and I cannot believe it has been 11 months.
