I’m Emily Werness and what does $11 get these days?
-2 drinks at Caribou/Starbucks, maybe three if you’re frugal
-a movie ticket and some candy
-one dinner out at a sit down restaurant (minus tip)
-one large pizza
-one album from iTunes
-2 $5 movies from Target
-a monthly gym membership in some places
It doesn’t seem like it gets you all that much, but to me, $11 is a BIG deal.
If I get 146 people to give $11/month from May 2014 through February 2015 (10 months total) I will be fully funded!!
Please join me on this journey and become one of my 146! You can set up monthly EFT payments with no fees – just click here to get started!
Here are some more details about where your $11/month is going:

Training Camp– $320 (For ten days in July down in the heat of Georgia to meet my squad and get a feel for what the 11 months on the race will be like.)
Field Support– $620 (This helps with supplies on the race, local ministry contacts, etc.)
WR Development Program– $1860 (Improvements and developments in the WR program)
Administration Fees– $2635 (There are a lot of people working behind the scenes to set up travel, meals, missions, etc. This money goes to paying them.)
World Racer (ME!)– $10,075

This is how my budget breaks down:
Intercontinental Travel– $4,235
Food– $1256.25
Lodging– $1,758.75
Transportation– $1,005
Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies– $1,115.55
On top of this, other expenses include:
International Insurance– $753.35
Extra $ for day-to-day living– Recommended $100/month (extra toiletries, necessities)
Gear and supplies for the WR (Backpack, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and more! I hope to have a registry set up soon – stay tuned!!)
$16,000 doesn’t seem as crazy once you just break it down a bit. Your $11/month will go such a long way. Please consider partnering with me!
I’m Emily Werness and I need YOU!
