Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
Matt. 10:8
My heart has been moved and changed and my life can never be the same. I am more educated on not only the worldly issues but with my own challenges and fears. My relationship with God is growing. I witnessed pure healing on my team. I threw my hands up in surrender because I am nothing without the Lord and nothing without His grace and forgiveness.
This mission trip is going to be incredible, more perfect than I would have ever thought. God moves in crazy ways and lives inside me like never before. The countries that I am going to are places of brokenness, places of sadness, and despair. The poverty in these countries is so intense that I can’t help but cry; especially knowing that everyone thinks of Americans and obese and gluttonous. Training camp has been about slowly introducing me to the misery of the world and the work that the Lord can do throughout it. The easiest way to help you understand is to use the verse above. What are you doing as a Christian? Are you healing the sick? Are you raising the dead? Are you cleansing the lepers? Are you casting out demons? … I’m not yet, but I can only pray that the Lord will take me and my team and my entire squad and help us clean up some of the mess in the world. And I know that he has big plans for me and I know that I will be discovering my spiritual gifts when He is ready to reveal them.
My squad-mate fell and tore up her ankle. We all just knew that she broke it and sadness rushed over all of us because we didn’t know whether or not she would even be able to launch out with us in September. In the small amount of two hours and with our team huddled around in prayer and support and speaking words of life into her, she was up and walking in no time. The doctor told her that there should be a broken bone when looking at the x-ray and comparing it to her accident. God showed Himself to all of us that day.
I cannot give away the smaller details of camp because it’s important that future racers are prepared for anything and not aware of what to expect. But if you are a future racer you must know that God put you here for a reason, he wants to take away your anxiety and fear. You are not a slave to fear. You will meet some of the most amazing people that this generation has to offer and receive love like you never knew was possible.
Anyways more to come about camp later I have to get back to my team!
I love all of you and please continue supporting me, doing the Lord’s work has never been so important to me in my entire life!
