I have random red spots all over my arms… Not sure where they came from but we got kicked out of our sweet amazing hotel with showers for the week and we are living in an empty house here at the village filled with loads of mosquitoes and apparently little random biting red spot bugs, but anyways our ministry this week has been so much fun!
I have had the privilege of babysitting the sweetest little 11 month old ever and helping her learn how to walk better and she can now point with one finger :] she still doesn’t understand blowing kisses though lol. Her Mom is Hungarian and her Daddy is Romanian so she is already learning three languages, including English which is so awesome for her!
Some other things we have been doing is flattening dirt around the main house and working on landscaping and stuff, as well as painting a trailer that was very rusty and now it looks almost brand new (we are allowed to put The World Race on one side of it and Caminul Felix on the other side which is awesome)
It’s really cool to be around so many people that all have different personalities and love and serve in all different ways. For instance, I love to watch baby Emma and help cook and clean and serve inside, but there are some girls on my team that would hate that and want to be outside digging holes and scraping rust off of the trailer because they get enjoyment out of that. Just like we all have a different love language, we all have different ways that we prefer to serve.
One thing that I have been learning this month is to give selflessly, I think that it’s something that everyone on my squad has been dealing with and trying to get better at, because we were raised in America where the main focus is always on ourselves and on how WE want things to go and what WE want to do with our time and how long WE will serve and things like that, so it’s just awesome to be learning selflessness in month 1.
On a side note, I miss America terribly lol and it’s only the first month! And I would NEVER be able to keep up with the drivers here in Oradea… they are pretty crazy.
I would love for you to youtube the song What do I know of Holy by Addison Road, this is sort of an explanation of how I feel during month one. It’s about how much I thought I knew of God but how many things He has taught me in just 3 weeks of being here.
Love yall!!
PS if you read this please comment! I could use some words of encouragement since month 1 has been a little rough around here!
