Our Squad (iFam) is made out of 60 or so people and we will be travelling country to country together.
However, when we reach our destination we will be splitting up into our teams. My team consists of 5 amazing women.
We are "Team P.31" This title was first brought up by one of our brothers Richard Bowman (check out his blog – Richardbowman.theworldrace.org)
This is how he reffered to his sisters; the women on our entire squad. P.31 is short for Proverbs 31; a book in the bible that describes
a loving & God-fearing woman of integrity. After reflecting on the passage, our team leader said this about Proverbs 31 "I LOVE the verse "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and laughs without fear of the future" because it speaks perfectly into what God has for us in terms of our attitude and how we can carry ourselves on the field."
Our team name will serve as a reminder of the kind of women we want to be and the attitude we want to have on the race.
And so without further ado I would like to introduce you to TEAM P.31!
Emily Kutz (Team Leader)
Em is my twin. Not only do we have the same name but we are both ENFP's
(Type of personality from the Briggs Myers test) We also recently found out that
we both come from German backgrounds. Em and I have a bajillion other things
in common which makes our friendship so much fun. I'm so excited to support her has our Leader.
Stefanie Pray
This girl is so nice. She has such a willingness to encourage others through words
of affirmation and I know she'll have my back. I cannot wait to grow closer as sisters
and build a trust and friendship that will last.
April Kent
Holy cow this girl is ON FIRE for Christ. Her prayers are fierce!
She is so soft spoken but don't let that fool you, this girl would gladly die for her faith.
She loves her God.
Katie Noble
Katie is hilarious!! When I get in my weird moods I know she'll
be there to make me smile and make the best of the situation.
I seriously cannot wait to get to know her better.
Last but not least..
Teresa Schellhause
So apparently, according to the Briggs Myers personality test, if Teresa
was a man she would be my perfect match! I think this may be because
she has what I lack; organizational skills. I feel like Teresa will in a sense
be the glue that holds our team together. She's organized and she likes to
get things done on time! And yet..as you can see from her picture I know
she'll be loads of fun!
Here is a little map of where we are all from!
It's amazing to think how God stirred each and everyone of our hearts from across the nation to apply for this crazy thing called The World Race. From strangers to family we have been united and placed together by God to support, love, teach & and encourage each other all for His glory. I cannot wait to see how God is going to continue to work in our lives and how He is going to use us to help those in need.
I ask that you please pray for us. Print out our picture and stick it on your fridge if you have to. The power of prayer is amazing and we are going to need it. Over the course of the next 11months we might find ourselves in some very dark places in the world and we need YOU to help us. No matter how far away you are, your prayer matters.
