Being servants our contacts in Cambodia have done so well. They showed us Jesus in so many ways that it makes me want to be more like Him. Everything they do in their lives point to Jesus.
One very clear example of a encounter I had at the beginning of the month was with Pastors wife. I brought my laundry outside in a bucket to wash and then some more in my laundry bag to do after what was soaking in the bucket. I was listening to music with headphones on in my own little world when all of a sudden I noticed there were people behind me. It was pastor and his wife. I pulled my buds out of my ears and said oh hi I didn’t realize you were there! She then asked if I was doing laundry and if she could help. I said yes if you want to you can.
She then got a big bucket and brushes to do the laundry in. It was a very big bucket. I’ve never seen anyone do laundry as fast as she did. I was trying to keep up but that was about impossible for how long she has been doing laundry for how many kids she does laundry for.
She asked what we used in USA and I said we have wash machines but this year I have washed my clothes by hand a lot. She said they are very expensive aren’t they and I said yeah they sure are. It was a very delightful time washing clothes with her. She doesn’t just serve but she serves out a heart of joy and she loves too do it for others.
Matthew 20:26-28,”It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, evan as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
