Hello everyone!
I am excited to announce that I will be going on the World Race in September. The World Race is an eleven month Christian mission trip to eleven countries around the world. The trip is directed by Adventures in Missions, an organization based in Gainesville, GA. One of the unique aspects of the World Race is that it’s also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. I will be serving in Serbia, Albania, Macedonia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
For years, I have been praying about the next chapter of my life. I sought God and His direction. Originally, I thought He would help me decide between careers or graduate school; however, God had different plans for this season of my life. He has undeniably confirmed that He wants me to serve on the World Race. At first, I was fearful and unwilling. I tried to convince myself to pursue alternative opportunities. I also knew that the World Race was completely outside of my comfort zone. The Lord continued to prompt me to apply and I finally obeyed. I know that I will have to fully rely on God and I have complete peace with this decision.
I just returned from a ten day training camp in preparation for the Race. I know that this upcoming year will be the most challenging and rewarding year thus far. I hope to experience and share the Lord’s love in unimaginable ways. I will be serving with 47 wonderful squadmates as we endeavor to make disciples who make disciples. In each country, we will be assigned to an established contact and minister alongside him or her. For the first month, my team and I will be partnering with an organization in Serbia. We will be pioneering a small group for young adults and married couples.
In order to leave in September for the World Race, I need to meet the next fundraising goal of $10,000 which is due by August 21st. To account for processing time, online donations need to be made by August 18th. I currently need to raise $5,600 to reach this goal. I will continue raising support while on the field to reach the grand total of $15,500 plus insurance. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the eleven months of the trip. As I take this step of faith in trusting the Lord, I am inviting you to support me prayerfully and/or financially. Together, we can advance His kingdom and impact the lives of many people around the world.
