I think daily about my time away from the states next year. Yes, 11 months away from the country I have lived in for 26 years seems like a change… A big one. Don’t get me wrong. I have been out of the country before and I love it!
But, I would bet… most people that know me well would not describe me as a “nomad.” I grew up in North Carolina, went to college in North Carolina, currently am living in North Carolina… up to this point I have kind of…settled down in one location… THE SOUTH.
This lack of moving certainly demonstrates little nomadic – like qualities.
Am I going to be a perfect Nomad next year? I’m guessing far from perfect.
Will I be a Nomad forever? Probably not.
Did I ever think the Lord would ask me to wander throughout His Kingdom? I’m pretty surprised – but thrilled!
WILL I GO ON HIS BEHALF and SERVE HIM and HIS PEOPLE while learning to embrace the Nomadic lifestyle of following Christ?
YES — OF COURSE!
I trust He will teach me to be a great nomad along the way!

“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
Matthew 6:14
I choose life… even life as a nomad.
What life do you choose?
