Hi! My name is Emily and I am about to do this crazy thing called, “World Race.” In this blog I will be able to share with you the whole process. The next few months I will be fundraising and in September 2014 I will launch out on an adventure that will take me to eleven different countries in eleven months (#11in11).
The ultimate goal is to share the gospel with others as well as to support and encourage my church family in these various communities.
Since my graduation from Summit International School of Ministry, in April 2012, I have had a desire to travel and share the love an freedom that Jesus has given me with others. God has opened many doors for me to do this and I have already traveled to Armenia, Nicaragua and Moldova. Each of these experiences have been a time of personal growth and learning as I have humbled myself and put my hands to work, completely outside of my comfort zone, all for God’s glory.
This next season of my life with be another leap of faith. I am excited to be a part of the work of expanding the kingdom of God across the world. I am continually encouraged by these final words of Jesus to his disciples,
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
