Broken. That is the word I would use to sum up my life right now. It is so clear that it is only by the grace of God that I make it through each day. I often feel very lost and am not sure how to live my life. Clinging to God is the only thing that keeps me from falling into complete hopelessness. I am so desperate for God. The consequences of not trusting Him each and every moment of the day are devastating. I have no idea what the Lord is doing in my life right now, and some days I am blinded by the pain I feel. But I find tremendous hope knowing that the Lord knows what He’s doing. And if He says that what I’m going through is glorifying to Him, then I know that right where I am is exactly where I need to be.
The number one thing that you need to know about me is that I am head over heels in love with my Lord and Savior, Jesus. He is my absolute everything. His love and glory is so much better than anything I know, and I am committed to following Him no matter what.
It wasn’t until my freshman year in college that I really started understanding what it really means to love God and follow Him. He’s opened my eyes to His truth and changed my life in incredible ways.
Here are some other things about me:
-I love to sing and dance.
– I talk, laugh, and sing in my sleep.
– Hosea is my favorite book in the Old Testament. 2 Corinthians is my favorite book in the New Testament.
– I love people deeply.
– I love hugs.
– I really like freckles and wish that I had some.
– I absolutely hate scary movies!! I would rather be in a scary situation than have to watch a movie about it.
– Meeting new people scares me. And I am generally quiet in group settings. However, deep one-on-one conversations are one of my favorite things ever. I love being real with people and talking for hours about personal struggles and joys. It frustrates me when people are not willing to be real with me.
– I like to make people laugh, but I also desire to be taken seriously.
– I’m slightly addicted to fruit snacks and cheese.
– I'm 23 years old.
– I think Demi Lovato is awesome.
– I get nervous easily.
– When I get excited, I get REALLY excited!
– My favorite color is orange, but sometimes I think it actually might be blue.
– I have a hard time expressing my feelings. A lot of the time I don’t even know what is going on inside me. I find great comfort in the fact that God knows me completely.
– I’m detail oriented.
– I really like thunderstorms and things that smell good.
– I like trying new things.
– I’m usually not patient enough to journal, but people have been telling me that I should for a while now. I think the requirement to blog for the World Race is God’s friendly way of making me finally start recording in words what He’s doing in my life. 🙂
