Hello!  I am a first time blogger, so here is my Bio…finally.  I have so enjoyed reading about all of my amazing teammates, and I am getting excited about soon meeting everyone face to face.  I know the Lord has uniquely selected each team member, and I am thrilled to be a part of such a great group!

First of all,  I’ve grown up in Memphis, but spending a lot of time in Colorado, Mississippi, Texas, and Tennessee makes me feel like I’ve got roots all over!  I love the cool air and mountains of Colorado, the southern simplicity and open land of Mississippi, the boldness and comradery of Texas folk, and of course my home is in Tennessee.
I am hugely blessed to have two parents that love the Lord and a younger sister that I am very close to.   I believe the Lord saved me when I was 6 years old, but He has made great efforts to make my heart fully His ever since then.  In thinking about what to share with ya’ll, I was again struck by the amazing people and events He has used to impact my life:  As a youngster I learned about His amazing love and developed an appreciation for His written word at Kanakuk Kamps.  I learned that He gives me the strength and power to do incredible things while in Costa Rica with Outward Bound.  I was mentored by amazing leaders and began to learn a lot about theology through Reformed University Fellowship in college.  I  experienced much healing and encouragement while at Focus on the Family Institute for a summer, also during college.   I learned what it means to be part of a close Christian community while working at a Young Life camp in Colorado.  And I most recently began to understand more fully what it means to lay down your life and live for the Lord while going through the Fellows Program at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis.
I know that I am going to be able to add this trip to that list and I cannot wait to see what the Lord is going to do!
Here are a few facts about me:
I like good conversation over a cup of coffee, movies, breakfast food, ultimate frisbee or any team sport, biking, snow skiing, kayaking, reading, wearing skirts, the T.V show Ace of Cakes, close thriving community, and cold weather.
Good books I’ve read recently: What is the What, Same Kind of Different as Me, Screwtape Letters, The Hidden Wound (or anything by Wendell Berry), and Technopoly.
