To Nepal:

Your people are beautiful. Your mountains are breathtaking. Your city is buzzing with tourists and store shop owners trying to make a living. Even though your streets are covered in dust the smell of incense burns at every street corner. I can’t walk far without seeing a Hindu temple or Buddhist Montessori, but God is here. As the chill from the wind hits my bones, the Spirit of the living God warms my heart with hope and joy for this country and these people.

To America:

The second morning here we had a meeting and our host said, “Welcome to the greatest revival on earth.” While Nepal has one of the most important Hindu temples in the world, Christianity is the fastest growing religion here. Satan wants to prevail but the people here are so ready for hope. They’re ready for something more. They’re ready to hear about a LIVING God. They’re ready to hear about a perfect sacrifice. They’re ready to hear it isn’t about good works or rituals anymore.

They are ready, and we are ready. The perfect combination for revival and heart change.

Our third day here we went to a Hindu temple and a Buddhist Montessori and prayed. We walked into a super dark spiritual place and brought light. It was something that I’ve never experience before. It broke down all the preconceived ideas I had of spiritual warfare and spiritual darkness. In America, we don’t see this stuff, we don’t talk about it, and all the stories are written off. Spiritual warfare is real. The exciting part of getting a taste of this spiritual darkness is learning what authority we have in Jesus! He has given us the authority to cast out demons. He has given us the power to heal. He has given us His light and allows us to spread that everywhere were we go. He gives us the beautiful stories of redemption in the Bible. He also gave me my story. We just have to ask for all the things and have faith He is going to provide.

We tend to put Jesus in a box and we ask for little things, but He’s so much bigger then that. I’m learning to just ask. When we first landed in Nepal I was sick. I was sitting on the bathroom floor super late at night and I knew I had a parasite. I said, “Okay, Lord.. Take it out of me.” I didn’t even feel like throwing up, and I hadn’t thrown up all day, I just needed to be close to a bathroom (If you’re picking up what I’m putting down..) After saying that prayer, I immediately threw up. And while that wasn’t fun, I was finally able to leave the bathroom, and I felt good, and I finally went to sleep and I haven’t had a problem since. We’ve also asked for big things. We sat around half our teammates who were sick and asked the Lord for healing. The following day all but one person were healed. God hears us and He answers. He just wants us to ask. He’s a loving Father who wants the best for His children.

So ASK and BELIEVE
