Be broken is my favorite phrase. It’s so simple yet so profound. God doesn’t ask us to have it all together. He doesn’t ask us to carry around our burdens or other peoples burdens. He doesn’t want us to be weighed down. He wants us to be totally and completely reliant on Him, no matter the circumstance or the situation. He stands with open arms ready to take whatever burden we are carrying.

Lately, God’s been revealing this more and more to me. He’s opened my eyes to see that, not only is He a God who wants to hear what is going on with us, He wants to TAKE THE BURDEN. How incredible! I have a tendency to complain and complain but continue to carry my weight around. I beg God to take it from me but after I lay it down, I pick it back up. Why do you think we do this?

The Bible says, “Come to me all you heavy laden and I will give you rest.” So why do we continue to carry around our burdens?

If you’re tired of fighting, tired of complaining, tired of carrying around your problems, tired of carrying around other peoples burdens, then GIVE IT UP. Sit at the feet of Jesus, cry out to Him. Be honest. Tell Him exactly how you’re feeling. Tell him you’re mad at Him. After you have let it out though, leave it there. Don’t pick it back up. Leave your burdens, leave your pain at the feet of Jesus and let Him take it for you. I promise HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN.
