This is a list of just some of my favorite memories from my time in Romania. I could probably write a blog about each individual memory, but I think a list will do for now. It was a really great month.
- Driving windows down, singing Mumford and Sons with Aaron, Camilla, John, and Sutton while driving home from a Christian conference in Arad
- Team TAE game nights – Phase 10
- Sitting on the roof of our house, looking out at Siria, journaling, playing guitar, reading
- Hitch hiking to go rock climbing in Lipova; we climbed, cooked lunch over a small fire, and huddled under a tarp during a brief rain shower; it's one of my favorite memories on the Race, mostly because it was so adventurous and yet so simple
- Hiking to the top of Siria to climb among the castle ruins
- Dance party at Camp David with all the Networks volunteers (who are mostly from the UK)
- Driving to work every morning in this old orange van; sometimes everyone was quiet during the drive, other times we had great conversations
- Going to planning and visioning meetings with the Alfa team, hearing about the ministry they do and being with them as they dream big dreams for what God will do in the future
- Dinner at the house in the vineyard with two Swedish ladies – fresh and delicious food as we sat outside in the hills at sunset
- Sitting on the roof one night, playing guitar and talking with Jon and Jake for hours
- A spontaneous weekend trip to Budapest – overnight train, free stay at a Hilton Hotel, sightseeing, free food all weekend

- Playing volleyball at the lake with a bunch of Brits and Swedes
- On a house visit in the garbage dump, I got to sit and play cards with a few kiddos. We played an old card game I used to play as a kid, and it felt so good to give them the ability to be kids for even just a few minutes. They didn't have to worry about taking care of each other, cooking, cleaning, or doing other adult things. They could just be kids.
