It’s crazy how one night can change so much within a team, even crowds of people. We began our night of ministry the same as always: worship time, a short skit, head-shoulders-knees-and-toes song, preach, and pray for people. But this night was not an ordinary night.
So after we were done with everything and thought we had a great service and are heading back home, we instead head to a house to pray some more. We make it to the house and it turns out the man (who is a believer, praise the Lord) we are to pray for has been paralyzed for 2 years due to a stroke. We began praying for him and about 2 minutes into the prayer, the Spirit fell on that house. So we continue to pray and just ask God to heal the man, to show up and allow the man to be totally healed. Phil anointed him with some secret healing oil we didn’t know he had and we continue to pray louder and more intensely. After a couple more minutes, I said “Aren’t we supposed to test the faith of the man and more of ourselves that he is healed?” So we help him to stand up on his feet. Then we helped him to take 1 step…then a second step…then a third step…and before we knew it, he was walking!!!! As this is happening, me and my teammate Ruth are flipping out! All we could say was “JESUS, YOU ARE FREAKING HERE!!! JESUS, YOU ARE FREAKING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” And that was just the beginning of the miracles.
The next day we were all thoroughly exhausted emotional, physically, and mentally. But God continued to show up! We went to another village site and we began praying for people after our preaching and the following amazing crazy things happened: a man and a woman with 1 leg shorter than the other had their shorter legs grow! 1 woman who used a walker to help her extreme back pain was totally healed of her pain and didn’t need the walker anymore! God is so good!
The next village we went to we didn’t even speak in it. We came in and sat down and about 5 seconds later this old lady came and sat right next to me. She tells us that she has body pains and so we begin praying for her. About 10 seconds into praying for her she begins shaking violently. We figured out there was obviously more than body pains as her problem. So we begin praying that the evil spirits/demons would be cast out of her. And of course she sits by me since I’m the one who has had fear issues with demons. Regardless, we continued to pray and pray and pray until she stopped shaking. Once she realized she was free of the demon, she immediately wanted to know about our God. So the little old lady received Jesus. 🙂
There’s more. Also in that same village we prayed for more people and God showed up by:
–healing a woman’s eye that was blind!
–healing of several people’s neck, back, and knee pain!
–growing of a man’s shorter leg to normal length!
Another village we went to, a woman with deafness all of her life came for healing after service. After praying for her ears, she said she could hear a little bit for the first time in her life! It wasn’t 100% better hearing but because she recognized God did that little bit for her, she received Christ! It’s so crazy awesome that this is becoming our normal!! It makes me actually believe that we are an amazing special team capable of so much.
