This person is a woman that Team Ripple Effect had the privilege of meeting in Kothe, Nepal.
She is the sister of our ministry pastor in the village there.
She has the real name but just to protect it, let’s just call her Waldo.
You may be asking yourself, “why Waldo?”
Our team named her that because of how she would pop up everywhere-always waving and smiling from ear to ear. She is so precious.
The Situation:
Waldo is deaf.
She has never been to a doctor in her life.
It blows my mind that I could have easily been born in her shoes.
But even with her handicap, she is still so full of life. So clearly full of the Lord.
It just hits my heart so hard that she hasn’t had the same opportunities as everyone else because of her deafness.
She’s never heard a worship song. She’s never heard a sermon. She’s never even read the Bible because she wasn’t able to go to school and learn how to read because of her disability.
And even though I am not there in Nepal anymore to lay my hands on her and ask for healing from the Lord, I know his hand is still on the situation and am praying he will move in some way.
Action Taken:
My team and I have gathered together $125-some of our personal money and some money from our money budget that can go towards ministry cash gifts-and are sending it to Nepal for Waldo to go to a doctor in Kathmandu, Nepal.
My heart and my prayers are for the doctors to have some possible solution or something they can offer Waldo. I am believing and praying.
Please pray with me.
