…Many people right now are asking “Where is God in the midst of everything going on in Haiti?” ….The answer to that question to me is as clear as “What color is the sky….or what is your name?”
…And surely I am with you until the end of the ages….i will not forget you, I have written you on the palms of my hands….my unfailing love for you will not be shaken…you will go out in joy and be led forth in peace…I have loved you with an everlasting love…abounding in love and faithfullness…His love endures forever…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today…God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble…
God is as present today as he was yesterday, as he will be tomorrow. He has never left us and right now he is with the people in Haiti, as people around the world pitch in to help rebuild this country, provide, and comfort the people. I have been moved to tears so many times these last few days over the out pouring of people’s generousity and watching hearts be moved to help and give. While people are picking up the shambles of buildings and pieces of hearts this is truely an act of God. What is amazing is that God says in Proverbs 19:17…”He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward him for what he has done”. Serving the Lord as we serve Haiti, lending a hand to Haiti, lending to the Lord…amazing. The hands, feet, and heart of Christ are truely at work right now in the lives of many.
Ever since Haiti’s earthquakes they have been in my prayers and on my heart. There has been so much to think about and pray for as I am sure you too have found. The new things we learn each day lead us to our knees night after night to pray for Haiti. I wanted to let you all know that our world race team will be joining in with the efforts to provide and serve Haiti for a month in August 2010. It will be one of the hardest months I believe our team will face as the destruction will be overwhelming…we are so blessed to have our route changed in order to serve Haiti. AIM intends to redirect all missions to Haiti so we can continue to help rebuild this country and its people for many years to come.
THANK YOU TO ALL MY SUPPORTERS!!! You have been a BLESSING and now you too will be serving in Haiti in the month of August 2010….Without your support I would not be able to serve overseas for a year, I can’t thank you enough, there are not words…. you have overwelmed me with your support.
…give me your eyes for just one second, give me your eyes so i can see, everything that i keep missing, give me your love for humanity, give me your arms for the broken hearted, the ones who are far beyond my reach, give me your heart for the ones forgotten, give me your eyes so I can see…. Lord give me a heart to serve you and through you, meet the needs of the people from Haiti. God I feel so small, so insignificant, so undeserving to be used as your hands and feet. I have done nothing to deserve to be blessed with serving your people….Thank you Jesus. Praying for the people in Haiti, Lord let them cling to you, protect and guide them during this time, pour out your Spirit on them, help them to rebuild their country and most of all grow closer to you…
