Good Morning all my wonderful friends and family! I wanted
to say hi from training camp out here in the woods of Georgia and let you know
a little bit about what has been going on. My journey thus far….waking up at 6
AM for an early morning workout hike…eating breakfast that consists of broth,
rice, and sardines…team building with the women to make our way up a hill with
disabilities such as 1 arm, no legs, or unconscious like I was…getting told we
have 1 hour to pack up some items, hiked to a camping spot, put up tarps for
shelter, made 3 fires, cooked a meal for 79 people, and learned that there is a
special process to cooking chicken over a fire, one in which does not take 3
hours!…checking my bed for spiders or scorpions each night…listening to many
amazing speakers…tons of team building activities…learning to rely on the men
and women who will be my family for the next year…and ABSOLUTELY realizing that
HEADLAMPS are a BEAUTIFUL creation!!! This is just a small part of training
camp but what I can tell you without a doubt is this next year is going to be
one of the most challenging, hard, intense, amazing, wonderful, touching, and
absolutely life changing year of my life!! My world is about to be seriously
rocked and I thank you SO much for being a part of it!
