This is where we are living this month! we were SO blessed to have this house! We pay rent for it because the ministry does not actually own it i do not think. its a house for maybe 6 people and there are close to 50 of us living here. people are everywhere sleeping 2 to a bed (i am doing 3 over 3 beds), tents, hammocks everywhere, and on the floor. you should see meal times its crazy!!

We started our ministry today! a little different from what we thought, still doing some vbs but also digging out canals, cleaning up TONS of trash, house visits, and anything else they need! we are working in the slums….the worst of the worst of San Juan. I have never seen poverty like this before. THere are poor people here in San Juan but these people are so poor they are outcasted. the land they live on they do not own because its actually not ever safe to live on. every single person has parasites or worms and is sick. people have things on there skin you probably would have a hard time identifying in the states. the children pour out of there homes to run to us and just be held and loved on. the language barrier does not matter here these children just want someone to play with them and hold them. they dont wear shoes….dont have shoes..as i pick up pounds of broken glass and barbed wire from the ground today. i will write more in my next blog about the ministry and this small community if people but the internet right now keeps kicking me off the site 🙂 im not in america anymore… 🙂 love you all!
