Team Throne Unveiled! We are all very strong willed, with our own opinions (which we will share), and on paper we shouldn't get along, but something about our team just works. Some how our individual pieces come together and make a perfect puzzle that only God could have created. We were unified as a team during the last activity of the day. We came together as one, sharing about what we would like to leave behind as we start our journey. We were vulnerable with one another and prayed as a team. After the activity, we all sat peacefully, basking in the awesomeness that just ensued. We knew, this was our team. We were overjoyed when it was confirmed the next day! Just looking at this picture makes me excited! These people bring out the best in me and make me want to be the best Emily. We are able to have fun but, also sit around and have deep conversations or just sit in silence. Cannot wait to travel the world with these wonderful people. So who are they? (Left to Right)

Kyle is from Alabama. The first time I talked to him on the phone I literally hung up and thought, "Dude I just talked to a hick!!" Kyle is selfless. He is willing to listen to anyone and offer wise council. He challenges people to be better and honest with themselves. He was one of the first people I became friends with at camp. I love the way he thinks about God and his willingness to share about himself.

Linley is from California. She has so much joy and energy for life. The first night I met her I said, "Linely, I want to know you better." So we sat in her tent and swapped stories. She desires to serve God with all of her heart. She genuinely cares for others and is willing to be that person you go to when you need help. I love to laugh with her and she just gets me!

Sharion has been a 2nd grade teacher in Louisiana for the past two years. There is something about her face that lights up a room. I was drawn to her at camp and couldn't put my finger on what it was that was so enticing. Her peaceful spirit is calming to be around. She isn't the first to speak up in a crowd, but when she talks people listen. She finds joy in everything she does. She has a kind spirit and will be great for our team!

Rebekah just graduated from college and will return to med school after the race. Rebekah was the first person I skpyed with from our squad. After about 30 minutes of chatting, I had determined I was going to like this girl. Rebekah and I will definitely get on each others nerves throughout the Race (which we talked about) but iron sharpens iron baby! Rebekah will challenge me to be a better person and find love for everyone. Rebekah will be a source of entertainment for the team as she makes a very random (and loud) hiccup noise at random times. I can't wait to love on little kids with her.

Will is a soccer player. This is all I knew about him before being paired with him during all four team activities. Throughout the day, I came to respect him as a leader. What I love about Will is his ability to lead through encouragement. He is gentle and truthful in what he has to say. He desires to serve others and show them God's love and acceptance. Towards the end of the week we discovered he loves to have fun. I love his laugh!

As I travel overseas, I do not care where we go. I would go anywhere with this team. I cannot wait to breakdown, go crazy, go deep, serve, and live with these people. Watch out world!
