“I live every day, as if I’ve deliberately come back to the day to enjoy it, as if it were the full final day of my extraordinary ordinary life.”

This quote is from the movie About Time. What a great message. I want to live each day deliberately. The race is a perfect place to live with deliberateness because I won’t ever get this experience again. Lord, I want to enjoy each country and conversation I find myself in. When will I even be back to the majority of these countries? My whole life sits before me and I only get to experience each day once, so I must cherish each day. We are but a passing wind, one second here and gone the next. God, I sit here and think of all the amazing days I’ve had and will have. Help me to act on my inclinations; walk up to a person at the grocery store and say hello or respond kindly to someone who speaks to me. Lord, I am excited to see what will happen as I actively engage in my life.

Do you want to live deliberately? I challenge you to live a life of purpose, on purpose. That your senses would open up and you would recognize the little things. Each day God gives us is a deliberate blessing. He organizes our lives with purpose, so that every person we meet is not by chance. Our experiences are meant to shape who we are and influence our thoughts. God takes ordinary and makes it extraordinary. So live each day with expectations of something great, and joy for every little nuance.
