Day one in Harbin China. We went on an excursion to Central Street. It’s a great place to shop and ends at the river. Many Chinese people stopped us to take photos. This is what many of the streets looked like in Harbin.
We found a preschool that allowed us to play with the kids. We sang songs and played for about 2 hours. These are some of the cute kids from my class.
From Central Street we were able to take a boat across the river. We visited Sun Island, which had lots of cool landscape and was a great place to walk around. We picnicked with some Chinese and enjoyed the day. This is the Chinese flag and the paintings were traditional Chinese decorations which can be found at temples and random places.

My friend Leslie!! She is a believer and studies at the University for Business. She was awesome and I loved the two great conversations we had!!
Andy is studying to be a pastor. He comes from Inner Mongolia (north of Harbin). He is currently studying at the University for Business. He was a contact of ours for the week and helped us navigate the city. He has an amazing story and is definitely living life for God. He is awesome!
The train!!! 19 hours on the way to Harbin, 16 hours back. The way back was much better. We learned how to put our packs up on the top (domino style). There were many more people in the isles on the way back because of the holiday. Two of my teammates are sitting on the top of the seats. We played games and chatted and watched movies. I’d rather be on a train than a bus because you can get up and there are bathrooms. I am fascinated by the way people travel in China. My guess is many Americans would scoff at the travel conditions.

The Great Wall of China in all it’s glory!!

Same spot, 2 years later. I’m so glad I made it back to China and the Great Wall.

My Chinese flag just tops off the awesomeness of being on the Great Wall. Yay!!
Rocking some shades with my friends Alysa and Kristen. (No they are not on my team) Alysa is a team leader for Peculiar Treasures and Kristen is on Living Water. Love these girls, I will miss them next month when we separate.
