This year I celebrated Thanksgiving in Cambodia. We had dinner with about 45 members of the church along with our two world race teams. We spent all day cooking in the “kitchen”. I was in charge of making the mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and green beans. Linley and Alysa made pumpkin pie, it was a huge hit, and Kyle and Jake made stuffing. An Indian woman (who was on staff there) made Indian curry and Vuthy (our contact) made barbeque. It was much fun to share an American tradition with the Cambodians. The entire day was fun. It was great to come together as a group and cook. It was fun to sit at a giant table as a community. It was amazing to bless Vuthy’s ministry with the money we raised to support the event and contribute to his Christmas event. Here are some pictures from the event.

The long table (we even had a table cloth)

(L to R) Vuthy, “the new guy”, Petra, and David. Vuthy is the man in charge. He runs the ministry that teaches village kids English. He also has dreams of opening a mercy clinic and university. The other three boys were our translators.

Pumpkin Pie!!

Team throne unveiled (Kyle, me, Rebecca, Linley, Will) I’ve been so blessed by these 5 people. I love my team and have learned a lot about living in community and about myself!

The whole group!
