I have so many thoughts on this I can add on to, this is going to turn into multiple parts! This is a journal entry I wrote on the plane to Quito, Ecuador. The past week has been incredible! My next blog post will come up in about a week talking about my team and what we have been doing in ministry, as well as describing Ecuador and what I have seen so far. Hope y’all enjoy!
Journal Entry: 10/5/16
God, You literally blow me away. I am in awe of You. You literally have blessed me so much, and continue to do so. You never stop, and it is just a continuous tidal wave of relentless love. You have no reason to bless me, I do not deserve it. Yet, You still continue to bless me. God, You are so good.
I left today for Quito, Ecuador. As the plane left Houston, my heart became restless. In my quiet time, I was listening to tons of worship music. This happened on, “I Am Not Alone”, by Kari Jobe. I was listening and clinging onto Your promises of never leaving me, and that You will go before me. As I heard these words, Lauren, one of my squad-mates, taps me on the shoulder and goes, ” THERE IS A RAINBOW!!” And God, I saw it. It was faint, but I saw it. God, You did not just create the rainbow to promise Noah You would never flood the Earth again, that You would never forsake him, You created that for us, for me today. God, I heard You say, “These 9 months, I will fight for you. I will be fighting your every battle, do not fear. You are not alone, I go before you and will never leave you.”
GOD YOU ARE SO GOOD!!!
You keep blessing me, revealing Yourself to me, and I am in utter awe. My heart is bursting and I am overwhelmed by Your love. This is Your promise, that You will never leave me, no matter how apparent that might be to me. God, You literally are the love of my life. I am so thankful for You and what You have done FOR me!! I will not fear these 9 months for You are with me, and are fighting for me. Every second of every day You are fighting on my behalf; that just leaves me speechless. It is 7:43 PM. currently and it is my 1st official day on the Race. You have already filled me to the top and am overflowing. You are so good.
