After a three-day travel extravaganza, we made it to our sixth country, Rwanda. We met our whole squad at the border of Uganda and Kenya, then took a bus to Rwanda together. We all had our own seats on the bus, no one sat on the floor, our bags were not in the aisle way and most of the seats were not broken! Upgrade!

So far, I'm loving Rwanda. It's so much more developed than I expected. We ran on sidewalks this morning!! (I know that seems weird, but really that's the first time that's happened since leaving home!) We are in the outskirts of the capitol city, Kigali and we are staying with Pastor Moses and his wonderful family. The country is so much more hilly and green than I expected – we had to wind around mountains in the bus! The city is absolutely beautiful, built into the mountains and hills.

We got here on Saturday night, and by Sunday we were already busy with the church. We had three services on Sunday, Rachel spoke at one, I spoke at one and Frank spoke in the evening. Every service was a workout – the worship here is great! The church members just pass around the mics, everyone is up out of their seats dancing around. Just about everyone broke a sweat. And it wasn't empty either, it wasn't just some huge dance party, but it is true worship. These people can't sit still because they are overcome by the joy the lord has given them. It's so cool to see and even cooler to be a part of.

There is a lot of church here. We have a service every night. And we preach every night. Cracking open those bibles and those notes from studies in the past! We also lead a devotion in the mornings. It's going to be a lot of work, but it will definitely be worth it! If you have any ideas for sermon topics, leave a comment!! I need all the help I can get!

One thing that I've grown to love about this race is how refreshing it is to move to a new place every month. It's so easy to get stuck in ruts in life, in your spiritual journey and in your attitude. But here, every month is a chance to change. Every month is a chance to say "Out with the old, and in with the new!". Last month, I started new and good habits, but I also started some not so good ones. This month, I'll keep the good stuff and get rid of the bad stuff. Easy to do when just about everything changes once every thirty days. But that's something I don't want to stop when I leave the race. I want to, once a month re-prioritize my life. Throw out the old and bring in the new. What about you? My challenge to you, especially in this new-yearsy time, is to re-prioritize your life. Where are you not putting first things first? Where are you letting your attitude stand in your way? I know you aren't moving to a different place once a month, but still. Where can that apply in your life?
