We made it to Nakuru!!

We're staying at the home of Mary and Daniel Nyasende, the pastors of Deliverance Church Pipeline where we are working. Deliverance Church has around 1,000 churches all over Kenya, and ours is one of the newest and smallest. It is located near an IDP camp, where people are still displaced after the 2007 election. There were many fights between ()s in the country and people lost their homes. A big part of our ministry is going to be working with and in the IDP community.

"Mama" Mary and Pastor Daniel have welcomed us into their home so graciously. Their daughter, Agape is sharing her bedroom with us and their son, Issac is helping us get around the city. They have 5 children in all, most of them grown and I think we are going to be able to meet them all during our time here. We spent our first afternoon looking at their family pictures! I already feel like part of the family.

Today we went to the church and we met so many wonderful and welcoming people that were part of the congregation. I'm excited for our time here, loving these people and sharing Jesus with them. I can't wait to update you on how God is working in Kenya!
