The place is bursting with kids who had nothing, but are now offered a place to stay, a place to learn, food to eat and the hope that the lord brings. And when I say bursting, I mean literally.
There are three bedrooms for 33 children and 4 adults, two of which are a married couple with two small children of their own. The office doubles as a dining hall and the prayer room that they all have sunday service in is so small they have to move all the furniture out of it every sunday. The cooking is done on the hall way floor. The only place the kids have to play is on the roof, but they aren’t able to run or jump because the celing downstairs falls off, like it’s snowing.
Asha is in need of a new home. They have simply outgrown it. The good news is that they have found some new land. They want to buy it and build a building to suit their needs. They are hoping to be able to fit even more kids – they have people requesting spots all the time. They also like the new land because it is right next door to a christian school for the kids to attend. There is a bog plot, with grass which is rare in New Delhi. The owner has even given them a special price. It seems perfect!
