Lately, ou[R] squad has been dreaming big. So many of my squadmates have posted blogs on the amazing things they want to do and experience on the race. Honestly, I doubted that things on the lists could happen, but if I believe in God, I have to believe He can do ANYTHING! I am going to dare to dream big, because my God is bigger. I am going to believe that the Holy Spirit can move mountains with the faith of a mustard seed. I am going to believe He is making me new every day and that means new dreams and desires. I am going to trust that the Lord will make my dreams come true.
Here is my dream list (in no particular order):
1. Create a family out of perfect strangers (already happening!)
2. Learn to trust that the Lord will provide, even if that means my fear of not raising every penny before I leave comes true.
3. Overcome my fear of bugs (especially spiders…thanks mom)
4. See Mt. Everest
5. Embrace my past, laugh at the things to come, and live for the now
6. Take a ladyboy on a date in Thailand and show them what love looks like
7. Baptize someone in the ocean
8. Be vulnerable and learn to trust
9. Witness a miracle in every country
10. Have a beer in an Irish pub (I'll finally be 21), though I don't think I'll like it
11. Swing dance with Jed in every country
12. Love the orpans like they are my own and protect them while I can
13. Share my testimony with a girl who needs a story of hope
14. Watch the Holy Spirit free someone from depression or addiction
15. Make sure that for the month I am there, an orphan never once doubts that they are loved
16. Show the women in sex trafficking their immense worth in Christ
17. Learn to say John 3:16 in every language
18. Skydive
19. Let God have all of the control
20. Show the Irish that simple tradition will never be enough. God longs for relationship.
21. Buy all of the flowers from a child in the red light district, so they can go home early and for one night, feel like they can breathe
22. See Hindu men in India come to Christ and rise up as spiritual leaders
23. Show a widow that she is never alone and sit and listen to her talk all day long.
24. See "zoo" animals in the wild
25. Ride an elephant
26. Let go of worldy possessions and desires
27. Be bold in love
28. Get at least one tattoo
29. See God bring justice to someone who has suffered great injustice
30. Sheer a sheep? (Jed, Tennyson, and Nikki are doing it-I might as well help)
31. Experience emotions WITH God, not apart from Him
32. Experience healings (physical and emotional)
33. Fall more in love with my Savior every day
34. Watch my teammates be restored and sanctified
35. Have God completely wreck my heart for Him and His.
Every couple of months I will add to this list and at the end of the race, I'll let you know how many dreams came true 🙂
