Here are some questions that I am frequently asked:
1. What is the World Race?
- The World Race is a “journey to 11 countries in 11 months to serve “the least of these” while amongst real and raw community. It facilitates discipleship through the process of discovering into the abundant life He promised. It births partnerships with ministries around the world.”
2. Where are you going?
- My squad and I will be going to Albania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, India, Nepal, Mongolia, and China.
3. When are you going?
- I will be leaving the beginning of July 2014 and returning in June 2015.
4. Why are you going?
- Over the past two years I have felt God telling me to do mission work. I was thinking maybe a couple week trip or maybe even a summer overseas, but God obviously had other plans and I am so excited to go where He is calling me. Through prayer, time with God, and my growing relationship with Him, I know that God is calling me to Christian mission work; and, through the Holy Spirit, minister to those who are lost and hurting.
- God calls us to be the body of Christ; we are His hands and feet. God has laid It on my heart to go and be His hands and feet to those around the world, to those who thirst for His love and mercy. God has called me to live the next year of my life in a life of abandonment for Him; to show others the overwhelming love God has for each and every one of us. So much of the world is lost and without the love of our Lord and Savior and so much of the world is just waiting to hear the good news about Jesus Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, I want to show and share with them Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to have Jesus as my Lord, Savior, Provider, Friend, Father, and so much more and I can’t wait to share that with those around the world.
5. How can I help support you?
- There are going to be many challenges throughout this journey and I know that I cannot do it alone. I ask that you would pray for me on this journey around the world and pray that, through the Holy Spirit, my team and I can impactfully show and share the love of Jesus Christ.
